Over 50 years there have only been two owners of this store. It was started by Barry and Deidre Dixon in 1959 and was originally a home appliance store. He then moved into selling Stereos and Music records and gradually developed into a music store with instruments and sound equipment. He owned the store for 40 years. In 1999 the store was bought by Barrie and Marrie Turner. Barrie has always had an interest in music and has taught for over 40 years in the band situation and is currently the Musical Director of Eastern Stars Concert Band. He expanded the store to what it is today by moving also into the shop next door, so the store covers two shops. Barrie also branded the Ericson guitars which is named after his father. Come and see us for all musical equipment and repairs. We sell guitars, bass guitars, ukuleles, keyboards, drums, amplifies, string instruments, brass, woodwind, books and sound equipment for bands, schools and churches. We stock accessories and parts. If we do not have it in store we will endeavour to get it for you. |
